OLIVIA KREBS
Olivia Krebs is an associate attorney at Mackoff Kellogg Law Firm in Dickinson . She is licensed to practice law in North Dakota , South Dakota , and Montana , with a focus on probate and estate planning . Krebs serves as an assistant prosecutor for Golden Valley County and the City of Dickinson , and acts as the city attorney for the City of Richardton and her hometown of Taylor .
Krebs grew up on an acreage near Taylor . She earned a bachelor of science in business economics with honors at South Dakota State University , with minors in communications and accounting . She continued her education at Creighton University School of Law , where she served in the Abrahams Legal Clinic to provide legal services to victims of abuse and low-income residents of Omaha , Neb . While at Creighton , Krebs also completed the Supreme Court seminar taught by Justice Clarence Thomas of the United States Supreme Court .
After completing her juris doctor , Krebs returned home to North Dakota and began her work with Mackoff Kellogg . She continues exploring her interest in constitutional law , including an appearance before the North Dakota Supreme Court to argue State v . Hansford .
She resides in Dickinson with her husband , Ethan . She enjoys spending her free time in a hunting blind , as well as working with local junior high and high school students to build confidence and public speaking skills though fine arts activities .
ELLA BRAATEN
Ella Braaten is an associate attorney at Pearson Christensen , PLLP in Grand Forks . She is licensed to practice law in state and federal courts in North Dakota and primarily practices in the areas of civil litigation , estate planning and probate , and insurance defense . She is also an assistant city attorney for the City of Grand Forks .
Raised in Bellingham , Wash ., Braaten moved to North Dakota in 2015 . She earned her bachelor of science degree in criminal justice from Kaplan University in 2009 , and her juris doctor from the University of North Dakota ( UND ) School of Law in 2019 . While attending UND , Braaten was an academic success teaching assistant and competed in the Phi Alpha Delta mock trial competition in Washington , D . C . She was also one of the founding student members of the Innocence Project at UND , investigating wrongful conviction claims made by incarcerated individuals asserting their innocence .
Braaten currently resides on a farm outside Aneta with her husband , Jeff , and their two dogs , Lola and Miley . When she is not working , Braaten enjoys spending time with family and friends , reading , and baking .
