Warming‘ soles’ with the gift of new shoes
In early December, more than 500 students from Mountain View Elementary visited America First Field for a field trip hosted by the RSL Foundation and the America First Charitable Foundation. Students were surprised with a brand-new pair of shoes handed out by some of their favorite RSL and Utah Royals FC players and legends, while executives from both the soccer club and AFCU provided stadium tours, lunch and the opportunity to meet team mascots.
“ Warm the Soles” is a long-running effort that provides thousands of pairs of new shoes each year to children across Utah, Idaho, Arizona, Nevada, California and New Mexico. This is the second year the RSL and AFCU foundations have partnered to give an entire elementary school’ s student body a unique on-site experience at America First Field.
Security services Director Doug McCleve caps 32 years of service
Doug McCleve, director and vice president of Larry H. Miller Security Services Corporation retired after 32 years of dedicated service to the State of Utah and the Miller family.
Before joining the SSC team, Doug spent more than 20 years in law enforcement, including serving as a captain with the Utah Highway Patrol and as director of public affairs at the Utah Department of Public Safety.
His unwavering commitment to the community and the Miller family was felt by everyone who worked alongside him.
His retirement marks the beginning of a happy, well‐deserved next chapter with his wife, Shaunna, and their family.

Since joining Utah Royals FC, Kate Del Fava has emerged as a leader and influential presence within the local community. Following her contract extension last year, Kate committed to purchasing 25 season tickets to be distributed to children and families in underserved areas. Kate is also actively engaged across the club’ s various community platforms, including participating in the annual refugee soccer clinic, attending STEM education events, visiting the children’ s hospital, connecting with students in classrooms, donating shoes and volunteering at Utah Food Bank.
Kate’ s work and passion for helping within the community earned her the prestigious nomination for the 2025 Lauren Holiday Impact
