ANNUAL SEASON OF SERVICE
5,000 MEALS, COUNTLESS IMPACT
The Monday before Thanksgiving, the Miller family and the Larry H. Miller Company transformed the Salt Palace Convention Center into a place of connection and support for those experiencing homelessness and food insecurity. At the end of the night, more than 5,000 meals were served to those in the community facing unique challenges.
“ Thanksgiving and the holiday season are important times to gather and make sure our friends and neighbors feel supported,” said Steve Miller, LHM Company Chairman of the Board.“ This annual tradition reminds us that a warm meal, essential services and acts of kindness brighten the season for us all.”
Employees and leadership from the company’ s businesses and local leaders from across Utah welcomed guests and served meals, organized clothes from the internal clothing drive, and assisted with children’ s activities.
“ Service is a cornerstone value of the LHM Company and one that each of our teammates and businesses exemplifies daily,” said CEO Steve Starks.“ It is uplifting to see such a gathering within our community and humbling to remember our blessings and the gift of hope. I’ m grateful to our employees and community partners for coming together year after year in such an important effort.”
Over two dozen community resources were also in attendance, offering a range of free services to the thousands of guests in attendance.
