Utah Jazz Head Coach Quin Snyder resigned after an eightyear run with the team .
In thanking Coach Snyder for eight incredible seasons , CEO Steve Starks added , “ Coach Snyder was a leader on and off the court . We appreciate everything he brought to the team and the community .”
In a statement released through the team , Coach Snyder said : “ At the core , and what drives me every day is our players and their passion for the game , their desire to constantly work to improve and their dedication to the team and the Jazz . After eight years , I
just feel it is time to move onward .”
Three weeks after Snyder ’ s announcement , the Utah Jazz front office selected Will Hardy , a former Spurs and Celtics assistant , to be the team ’ s next head coach . Hardy will be just the sixth head coach of the franchise since they moved to Utah in 1979 .
In his parting statement , Coach Snyder thanked those in the organization he ’ s worked with over
the years and wished them success in the future .
“ I am forever appreciative of all the players , coaches , partners , and people I have worked with at the Jazz ,” Snyder said . “ Your sacrifice , your kinship have made this an incredible and special experience . Amy and I are so grateful for our time here as it has been just a tremendous place to raise our family . Thank you to our always supportive and passionate fans . We only want the best for you and to see you raise a championship banner .”
June 1 , 2022 – The Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation welcomed approximately 50 displaced Ukrainian athletes , coaches and family members in an all-encompassing humanitarian and sporting initiative to provide a safe haven and training opportunities amid unrest and turmoil in their home country . The Larry H . & Gail Miller Family Foundation donated $ 200,000 to the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation to welcome Ukrainian athletes , coaches and family members to Utah .
