MILLER FAMILY FOUNDATION
UTAH’ S PODIUM34 INITIATIVE SETS A NEW STANDARD IN OLYMPIC PHILANTHROPY
Gail Miller and Spencer Eccles
The coalition leading Utah 2034 Winter Olympics unveiled Podium34, an unprecedented fundraising campaign that brings together public, private and donor organizations to support the upcoming 2034 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. At its debut on September 8, over $ 200 million in founding commitments were announced toward a $ 300 million goal— making it the largestever philanthropic effort of its kind for any host city.
The campaign features Founding Captains— each pledging $ 20 million or more— alongside Founding Donors
6 WINNING SPIRIT MAGAZINE contributing between $ 1 million and $ 15 million. Unique to Podium34, donors see their support channeled directly into education, youth sports, mental health, arts and culture, and community volunteerism and engagement efforts across Utah.
As a proud Founding Captain, the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family
Foundation stands united with local peers in building an Olympic legacy rooted in community and purpose. This campaign not only paves the way for a world-class Games, but also ensures a lasting impact— long after the torch is passed.
This moment reflects the Miller Family Foundation’ s enduring commitment to enriching the places where life takes place. From 2002 to 2034, the Foundation and the Company are proud to carry forward a legacy that brings people together and strengthens our communities.
