Highlighting Downtown Daybreak’ s Innovation and Growth
The August 2025 issue of Utah Business included an eight-page spread featuring Downtown Daybreak, Utah’ s first-of-itskind sports and entertainment district. Downtown Daybreak is redefining what it means to live, work, dine, shop and play in Utah.
Anchoring the new district is The Ballpark at America First Square, the home of the Salt Lake Bees. Surrounding the stadium is a yearround lineup of destinations, including a Megaplex cinema entertainment center with movies, bowling, games and enhanced dining. The area also features a mixture of restaurants and shops, such as the Salt Lake Bees Team Store, Moena Café and Hires Big H, with more coming in 2026, including Nomad Eatery, Rockwell Ice Cream, Naraya by Sawadee Thai, Red Iguana and Jolley’ s Corner.
ENTERTAINMENT GOES BEYOND GAME DAY
The Rio Tinto Kennecott Stage hosts live concerts and events, while the winter season transforms the square into a festive ice-skating destination. Looking ahead, the Larry H. & Gail Miller Arts Center, funded by a $ 25 million donation from the Miller Family Foundation, will expand the region’ s cultural offerings even further.
With convenient access via TRAX light rail and the Mountain View Corridor, Downtown Daybreak is emerging as a central gathering place along the Wasatch Front. As part of the awardwinning Daybreak master-planned community, Downtown Daybreak embodies the vision of smart, sustainable placemaking— where jobs, entertainment and lifestyle converge. Open 365 days a year, it’ s more than a destination; it’ s a new model for Utah’ s future – where life takes place. Read the full article by scanning the QR code.
