David Smart Joins Larry H . Miller Company Board of Directors
The Larry H . Miller Company announced the election of David Smart as its newest board member on August 13 , 2024 . Smart is the executive vice president , CFO and CIO of Milliken & Company , a leading global manufacturing company specializing in flooring , textiles , chemicals and , healthcare solutions since 1865 .

Before joining Milliken & Company , Smart served as senior vice president and CFO for Pella Corporation and spent 20 years with Ford Motor Company .
Smart serves on the board of trustees for Converse University , the board of trustees for the Spartanburg Philharmonic , and the board of Edsal Manufacturing Company and is the audit committee chair . He is also a member of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business Dean ’ s Council .
Smart holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in finance , business economics and public policy from Indiana University .
