Greg Miller , vice chair of the LHM Company board and trustee of the Larry H . & Gail Miller Family Foundation , and Don Stirling , executive director of the Miller Family Foundation , shared the stage for a conversation focused on the Miller family ’ s history of giving back to the community and how Larry and Gail ’ s philanthropic spirit lives on through generations .
“ Over the years , I ’ ve come to realize that the philanthropic activity that our family and employees engage in comes from all the work and high performance that our employees demonstrate . It allows our family and philanthropic entities to do the work they do ,” said Greg .
The employees of the Larry H . Miller organization — through the work they do each day and the company cultures they foster — are the reason we ’ re able to make the places where life takes place .
Michelle Smith , chief people officer , closed out the Who We Are event with an employee update , providing
details for the new Service Time Off program , mental health resources and the importance of creating a culture of belonging across the organization .
In her concluding remarks , Michelle reminded employees of their role in fostering the culture in their workplaces : “ We all influence and create the best place in town to work by being a good teammate through creating a culture of belonging . Don ’ t forget that we create a culture of belonging in the places that we
influence . Thank you for being you and thank you for being a part of us .”
