Courage Reins uses equineassisted therapy to improve the lives of individuals struggling with physical , mental , and emotional challenges . Some of those served are children with developmental delays who are enrolled in a local early intervention program . Through a grant from LHM Charities , the services provided by Courage Reins will remain accessible to these children , even after they age out of the early intervention program .
A donation to ATTACH is aiding homebound and fragile seniors in rural Utah who are struggling with isolation and loneliness . Care workers from ATTACH provide companionship , pick up groceries or medicine , teach participants new skills , and engage with them in activities such as craft projects or gardening .
LHM Charities is supporting mental health care for adolescents in Cache and Rich Counties through a contribution to The Family Place . Eighty percent of the clients served by the nonprofit are considered low-income , and many do not have insurance . Donated funds will help teens and their parents receive appropriate mental health services .
operates a street outreach and victim advocacy program that focuses on helping individuals facing addiction , abuse , trauma , or sexual exploitation . Soap2Hope was founded by a survivor of drug addiction and sex trafficking who understands the needs of those she serves . As hygiene and other critical supplies are provided on a weekly basis , relationships of trust are developed so that victims have an ally they can turn to who can connect them to resources and support them in recovery .
Bear River Head Start in Logan , Utah , provides educational and development programs for families with infants and toddlers . The donation will provide child car seats to families in the program .
The Utah Film Center is partnering with the Utah Education Network and Utah PTA to promote opportunities for students to explore and learn through media arts . Funding contributed by LHM Charities is helping schools attend the Tumbleweeds Film Festival for Kids , an annual program produced by the Utah Film Center .

National Center on Shaken Baby Syndrome focuses on the prevention of permanent injury or death that can occur when caregivers become frustrated at infant crying and then shake their baby . The nonprofit develops programs , policy and research , and it educates families , caregivers and professionals . A grant from LHM Charities will update a prevention education program for junior high and high school students that is utilized in child development classes .
