Larry H . Miller Megaplex Theatres took to the center stage as it served as a venue for two global events : The Sundance Film Festival and the 2023 NBA All-Star Game .
2023 Sundance at The Gateway Megaplex
For the first time ever , the Larry H . Miller Megaplex Luxury Theatres at The Gateway served as one of the main Salt Lake City venues for the 2023 Sundance Film Festival . The Megaplex location hosted filmmakers , stars , and fans for dozens of movies over the 10-day event in January . Several filmmakers and fans said
the state-of-the-art laser projectors and Dolby Atmos sound , along with heated luxury recliners created the best movie-going experience some had ever experienced .
All-Star Weekend
The LHM Megaplex Luxury Theatres at The Gateway also served as host for a special event connected to the 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend celebration in partnership with the National Basketball Players Association ( NBPA ). The Scoring Credit event featured NBA players , including Utah Jazz All-Star Jordan Clarkson , speaking about financial literacy among fans . Through conversations with NBPA members on topics such as budgeting , developing credit , saving , investing and more , attendees gained real life strategies for creating the lifestyle they desire . The event was filmed inside an auditorium at the Gateway Megaplex and is available online for NBA fans .
