BUILDING COMMUNITIES at Junior Achievement City
Junior Achievement City ( JA City ) hosts over 19,000 5th and 8thgrade students annually and is home to over 20 storefronts sponsored by local businesses . Students bring this 10,000-squarefoot learning facility to life as they operate banks , manage restaurants , vote for JA City mayor , develop working budgets , and manage their business and personal finances . JA City programs promote critical thinking , collaboration , creativity , problem-solving , and communication .
To support this incredible learning opportunity and enrich the lives of Utah students , the Larry H . & Gail Miller Family Foundation sponsored a storefront in JA City for many years . This year , the Larry H . Miller storefront got a refresh at the Salt Lake City Gateway location .
The newly renovated storefront helps students realize the value of homeownership and community as it highlights a home sales environment for a Destination Homes agent in Daybreak . Larry H . Miller Communities builds communities where we live , work , and play , and we are excited to help Utah students learn and succeed while building a sense of community . We are proud to be part of JA City as we continue to work to enrich students ’ lives in our community .
Later this year , a new Junior Achievement City will open at the University Mall in Orem . Our storefront features Larry H . Miller Megaplex Theatres , allowing students to learn more about the entertainment industry while gaining business and creative skills .
The newly renovated Larry H . Miller Communities storefront is part of Junior Achievement City in Salt Lake City ’ s Gateway .
