A Glance at LHM Charities at Work in January and February

arry H. Miller Charities supports 501(c)(3)
nonprofit programs that assist women and
children in the areas of health and education.
Donations are focused on programs that help
those who live in the communities where LHM
Group businesses are located, and more than
$115,000 was donated in February.
In Arizona, funding for Lions Camp Tatiyee
is supporting a STEM program that serves
special needs youth, and a contribution to
Desert Mission is keeping low-income children
from going hungry on weekends. Science Prep
Academy serves students with autism disorders,
and a grant from LHM Charities is assisting the
school’s FIRST robotics and computer program.
A donation to Peppermint Ridge in
California is helping adults with intellectual and
developmental disabilities, while a contribution
to Discovery Center of Idaho is enabling low-
income schools to take STEM field trips to the
science center.
Attention Homes, which serves homeless
and runaway youth in Colorado, received
support for its drop-in and shelter programs.
Funding granted to Packs of Hope is providing
essential clothing and hygiene items to
Colorado children transitioning into foster care.
In Utah, a contribution to Open Doors
Social Services is helping low-income families
break the cycle of poverty, and a donation to
Children’s Service Society of Utah is improving
the health and safety of infants and preschoolers
in high-risk homes. A grant to Mountain View
Christian Assembly is funding Royal Family
Kids Camp, a week-long camp for foster care
kids that focuses on helping the children
feel valued and loved. A donation to NOVA
Principles is providing character education in
schools. Latino families are receiving support
for mental and behavioral health issues through
a contribution to Latino Behavioral Health
Services, and Latina entrepreneurs are receiving
training through a donation to Suazo Business
Center. Funding was also granted to Dual
Immersion Academy, Wasatch Community
Gardens, and National Inventors Hall of Fame/
Camp Invention.
