Saxton Horne Launches
New Podcast
W
hat is the biggest advertising stunt
of all time? Why does YouTube
play pre-roll ads? Why do some
commercials make you cry and others
take themselves so seriously? Get the
inside scoop and a humorous take on the
world of advertising through the newly-
launched podcast, “Why’d I Buy Th at?”
sponsored by Saxton Horne.
“Our goal is to share some fun
stories, talk about concepts and trends,
and just explore this subject everyone
is exposed to on a daily basis but that
nobody ever thinks much about,” said
Abraham Sloan, one of the hosts.
“We’re really excited for people to look
at advertising in a whole new way aft er
listening to one of our episodes.” Sloan
and his co-host, Ryan Croker, both work
at Saxton Horne and fi t recording time
into other duties.
New episodes of “Why’d I Buy Th at”
are released bi-weekly, and the podcast
can be found on iTunes, Google Play,
Stitcher, Pocket Casts, and SoundCloud. ◆

Students Shadow LHM Employees

ecently, members of the Gail Miller Women’s
Leadership Group, along with employees
within the Group were pleased to host
students as part of the Canyons School District
Job Shadow Day. Th e students were allowed to
observe a number of environments, including
a glimpse of the advertising world at Saxton

Horne, sports management at the Utah Jazz, and
automotive management at LHM Dealerships.
Th ese are great opportunities for students as well
as employees to create stronger bonds with the
community and to showcase workplaces where
