Angie Treasure Featured on Major Media Site
T
he sports industry is one where men typically
fill most of the roles with women only recently
finding a larger presence. One of those
women is Angie Treasure, social media manager
for the Utah Jazz. Complex, a major pop culture
and sports website, recently featured Angie as one
of the women creating some of the NBA’s most
memorable social media. When asked about her
role, Treasure described how much she “loves
being the conduit between the players and fans,
telling the team’s stories in 280 characters or less.”
She goes on to say, “We’re the voices of an NBA
franchise, just representing the players. “
As women like Treasure continue to open
doors and break down barriers, it is inevitable that
we’ll see more members of the media taking note
of Utah Jazz employees and all they accomplish. ◆
