Jessica Larsen and Jessi Kunz are responsible for a lot of the behind-the-scenes work of every tent sale.
Tent sales are a total team effort for the LHM Dealerships.
The tent sales represent a significant chunk of
LHM used vehicle sales each year with a major
marketing push with commercials airing on TV
and radio. Dealerships compete to see who will
sell the most cars, and lenders offer some of their
best rates for eager customers. It’s an energetic,
exciting event, but how does something so
massive come together?
It starts in January, when Paul Nygaard and
the MAO marketing team begin choosing sites
for each sale. This may mean negotiating to use
large parking lots belonging to shopping malls
or other large venues such as the Sandy Expo
Center located across the street from LHM
headquarters at Jordan Commons. It’s a team

effort involving multiple people and hundreds
of salespeople throughout the company. Two
people who get heavily involved in the process
are Saxton Horne employees Jessi Kunz and
Jessica Larsen.
In March, once the plans are in place, Jessi
and Jessica begin to contact vendors and start
the process of building multiple temporary
dealerships from scratch, ensuring each one
is secure.
They also coordinate with LHM Dealerships
to create a massive marketing plan. This is a
multi-pronged attack that sends the message
out via television, radio, social media, direct
mail, and more. This means long meetings and
STO employees gear up as Steve Ennis (MAO) looks on.
