Star Wars Comes to Megaplex
Te IMAX parking lot at Jordan Commons
turned into a temporary spaceport as
Disney and LucasFilm selected Megaplex
Theatres as one of only four cities in the U.S. to
host the Millennium Falcon Experience before
the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story. Five
Megaplex locations ultimately finished in the
top 25 in the national rankings for the opening
of the movie.
Avid Star Wars fans lined up all night in
front of Jordan Commons for a chance to climb
inside the replica cockpit of the Falcon and have
their photo taken with Darth Vader and other
Star Wars characters during its weekend stop
in Utah. Utah Jazz Bear, Jazz Dancers, Tour of
Utah, and Salt Lake City Stars helped keep fans
entertained while waiting for a chance to help
Han and Chewbacca beat the record for the
Kessel Run. ◆
