Metro Meals on Wheels on behalf of Subaru of
America, Inc.
November 30, 2017: The Utah Jazz announced
that the Jazz Bear would help more than 750
youth through three
Bear Hugs for Kids
events. These events
allow underprivileged
children the
opportunity to
purchase items for
themselves and their
families for Christmas.
December 12, 2017: The Salt Lake City Stars
hosted a basketball clinic, presented
by CenturyLink, for youth from the Boys & Girls
Club of Weber-Davis.

hosted 12 Days of Giving, where they gave back
to the local community through a variety of
service projects and ticket giveaways.
December 11, 2017: The Jazz organization
made its annual holiday visit to Primary Children’s
Hospital and Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Draper. The dealership,
formerly named
Mercedes-Benz of Lindon,
recently relocated to
Draper, Utah.
January 29, 2018: A live version of NBA Math
Hoops, a fast-paced board game, was played
on the newly installed Jazz City Edition court
at Vivint Smart Home Arena with help
from Jazz forwards Jonas Jerebko and
Georges Niang.

December 29, 2017: The NBA announced
that Utah Jazz guard Ricky Rubio received
the November NBA Cares Community Assist
Award in recognition of his many efforts to
raise awareness and support research for lung
cancer. The award recognizes an NBA player
each month who best reflects the passion that
the league and its players share for giving back
to their communities.
January 4, 2018: The NBA announced that
Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell was
named the Kia NBA Western Conference
Rookie of the Month for games played during
December.
February 6, 2018:
The NBA announced
that Utah Jazz guard
Donovan Mitchell
will participate in the
2018 Verizon Slam
Dunk contest, replacing
Orlando’s Aaron Gordon.

Education Foundation would like to remind
everyone that new applications for the 2018
summer semester must be completed online by
Thursday, March 1, 2018. Students who were
accepted in August or October DO NOT reapply

Debuting May 2018: Along with 16 other teams, the
Utah Jazz have officially joined the inaugural NBA 2K
eSports League. The league, which will eventually expand
to 30 NBA teams, is a way to bring top video gamers into
the various NBA franchises. The first season will mirror
the actual NBA season with five players on each team
competing for victory.
