Airport Maintenance Building and Public Restroom to be Constructed
The Airport will begin construction of a new equipment
storage facility, just north of the fuel farm. A public re-
stroom is included in the design of the building. The pro-
ject was included in the City’s Capital Improvement Pro-
gram for 2017-2018, which was passed by the City Council
last week. A Request for design-build services was released
last year, and the contractor has been selected. Construc-
tion could begin in early summer.

Library’s “Scribblers” Visit the Airport
The Arlington Public Library held their “Scribblers” program at the Airport last
week. Children ages 8-12 participate in a creative writing project. They visit land-
marks in Arlington, and after a short program, Scribblers members will be chal-
lenged and inspired to write on a related theme.
