Planning Process

Planning for the Strategic Plan , 2021-26 emphasized inclusion and collaboration among the various groups that make up the Williamson community , built on a comprehensive and coherent structure and methodology . All stakeholder groups – trustees , administration , faculty , staff , students , and alumni – contributed to the planning process , despite the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic . Moreover , the planning process intentionally involved cross-departmental planning groups to promote synergy among the college ’ s departments and stakeholders charged with its implementation .

Plan Structure

The plan itself has a clear and defined structure that both allows for and depends on alignment and linkage of its various strategies , tasks , and metrics . The primary elements of the plan include : Core , Strategic Goals , Objectives , and Initiatives . ( The plan is supported by Operational and Tactical Tasks and their associated Metrics .)
CORE – the college ’ s fundamental purposes , practices , and values , including :
Mission – what we do , who we serve , and to what purpose . It motivates and aligns all stakeholders to a common goal while establishing institutional culture .
Vision – an aspirational guide outlining how the college accomplishes its mission .
Core Values – the college ’ s fundamental principles . STRATEGIC GOALS – overarching , large-scale areas for strategic change and growth .
