OPINION WHY I LIKE WILDSTAR: A SCI FI GEEK’S GUIDE For a geek born in the late 70s, video games became an escape from school-yard bullies. Sci-Fi became an escape from the grind of life in small-town Australia. When I got older, I learned to fit in, but my love of games and sci-fi only grew. T here was a time, were designed to never be beaten; you tried nonetheless. A design somewhere between though consisting of a small screen theory that has gone the way of the the Cretaceous Period made of a few dots, it allowed aforementioned period of prehistory. and the iPad, when video games escapism that television couldn’t. were made for geeks.
