The Palestine ISD Board of Trustees is pleased to welcome Mr . Schwab and Mr . Tatum to the Board .
Welcome back everyone as we begin the 2015-16 school year !
As principals , teachers , and support staff all welcomed students and parents this first week of school ; Central Office administrators and I enjoyed visiting the campuses and handing out pens to teachers . From our youngest students to our seniors , it was great to see their smiling faces and to see them already following procedures and ready to go .
Campuses did an exceptional job this first week of ensuring safety as students were being dropped off and picked up before and after school .
Wildcat Weekly from the Superintendent : Jason Marshall
The district is pleased with the first week ’ s student enrollment of 3,337 , which is almost equal to the highest enrollment reached in 2014-15 . Even though enrollment is good , we still need to be diligent in locating all students in our community who need to be in school .

The Ladycats placed first in the Eustace Volleyball Tournament bringing home the Championship Trophy in the Bronze Division . What a great start to the season , and we look forward to more great news from the Ladycats !

Today ’ s edition of Wildcat Weekly is an abbreviated version of the usual weekly newsletter . Next week ’ s edition will include highlights from all around the district .
Thank you to everyone for your efforts to make the first week a good one for Palestine ISD students , both in the classroom and out . I am excited to see what PISD will accomplish in 2015-16 , and hope everyone has a great weekend .
