-1 K-State intern shopping, cutting and assisting (25 hours)
-$40 donation from Mid-America Sewing Guild to help fund camp
-15 “Hen” Cushions constructed
-13 pillowcases constructed
-16 zipper pouches constructed
-12 recycled jean projects
-13 drawstring bags constructed for keeps
-18 drawstring bags, 1 large fleece blanket, a quilt, several jars of jelly, and bottles of laundry detergent and dish detergent donated to Wesley House Homeless Day Shelter.
These campers not only learned sewing skills, which improves self-esteem and problem-solving skills, but they also served their community and helped others.
