from the director's desk
ow, it is an exciting time to be in the Wildcat District! It is our first edition of Wildcat Connection that includes Cheri Nelsen, 4-H and Youth Development Agent in our Fredonia office. We welcome the opportunity to serve new residents; agents are beginning to offer programming in our new area. If you are in Wilson County and interested in a program, please do not hesitate to contact any of us at K-State Research and Extension, Wildcat District.
If you visit the Independence office, you will soon see a new face. Amber Hughes will be joining us as the new Family & Consumer Sciences/Communications Manager. We are excited to welcome Amber and cannot wait for you to meet her! You may have also heard we will soon be moving in Independence. Contractors are bidding on new construction at our new office, which will be located at 1900 W. Main Street (next to Enterprise). We will share information as we begin to make progress.
We have celebrated Bertie Lovelle's time with Wildcat Extension District. We will miss having Bertie in the Independence office - and wish her well in retirement!
