Golf News Atlanta National 18-hole Golf Group Practice Tip: Welcome to everyone who has started coming out for our Ladies Days on Wednesdays starting at 9:00 am. In June we will start at 8:30am. We didn’t get much play activity due to the weather in March. We are hoping that April and May will be great and we will see a lot of Ladies out taking advantage of our great course. With all of the changes that the Club is making, there seems to be something different every day. Spent more time practicing your putting – a tour player averages about 29–31 putts per round – most of you are probably in the 33–38 range. Also, for those of you who do not know everyone who is heading up our committees, check out the following: • Play Days: headed by Kathy Haynes • ARA on May 20 at Polo Country Club: T headed by Janet Thielemann Make sure you sign up (posted in ladies locker room) • andicap Committee: headed by Jane Dazey H Make sure you post your scores • 014 Ladies Invitational on April 24: headed by Star Voigt, 2 Becky Tipton, Beverly Campbell & Dee Earp • 014 Atlanta National Ladies Net Championship on June 25 2 & 26: Plan on signing up for this with Handicap • ember/Member Tournament on July 23 (date change): M Start making plans on who you would like to play with All of the other tournaments and events will be posted on the bulletin board in the Ladies Locker Room. We are looking forward to a great year and want everyone to come out and play. We will have a different game each Wednesday so come join the fun! Thanks,  Dee Earp President, Atlanta National Ladies Golf Association You can take 3 to 5 strokes off your score with a little work on the putting green. Plus being a better putter will take a lot of pressure off of your long game. Spend a lot of time on 3-4 footers and the rest on 25 feet and longer. Don’t worry about the mid-range putts (6-15 feet) if you get really good on the short one and can control your distance on the longer ones you’ll make your share of mid-range putts.
