Course Name: Structural Detailing Type of Course: Elective Course
Available to: 11th and 12th grade
Prerequisites: Architectural Drawing and Design II( 80 %+) and teacher recommendation
Description: This course goes beyond the Architectural Drawing and Design Pathway. This course introduces students to basic terminology, concepts, and principles of Structural Detailing. The course develops skills required for structural detailing and connections design utilized for commercial construction. CAD tools and software should be used extensively throughout the course. Students who wish to take this course must be self-starters and have good time management skills as this is an independent study course. Students who complete this course should be prepared to take the Drafter Certification Examination from the American Design Drafting Association( ADDA) and qualify for advanced placement in the drafting and design programs offered by Georgia’ s technical colleges.

Description: This course will serve as the foundational course in the Audio & Video Technology & Film Pathways. The course prepares students for employment or entry into a postsecondary education program in the audio and video technology career field. Topics covered may include, but are not limited to: employability skills, industry areas, terminology, safety, basic equipment, script writing, production values, programming, lighting, recording and editing, studio production, and TV & Film careers. The project and lab activities provide students with technical and collaborative skills.
