Description : This is an accelerated college prep course that covers all the standards included in the onlevel World History course ( description on page 46 ) but explores the concepts at a deeper level with critical thinking , problem-solving skills , and extensive reading and writing used extensively for this level . Students earn an additional 0.5 quality point towards their GPA for this course .

Description : This course is designed to provide the student with an in-depth understanding of the cultural , economic , political , and social developments that have shaped the world from c . 1200 CE to the present . Students will analyze texts , visual sources , and other historical evidence and write essays expressing historical arguments . Units of study include The Global Tapestry , Networks of Exchange , Land-Based Empires , Transoceanic Interconnections , Revolutions , Consequences of Industrialization , Global Conflict , Cold War & Decolonization , and Globalization . The course will involve extensive readings , independent study , and frequent written / document analysis to prepare students for the AP World History Exam . Students earn an additional 1.0 quality point towards their GPA for this course .

Prerequisites : World History ( 70 % - 94 %) OR H . World History ( 70 % - 79 %)
Description : This course is designed to provide students the development of the United States from beginning as an English settlement and concluding with significant developments in the early 21st Century . This course provides students with a survey of major events and themes in United States history . The purpose of this course is to increase knowledge , awareness , and appreciation of America ’ s social , political , and economic evolvement from colonization to its current position as a world leader . Students will be prepared to an End-of-Course Exam .
