Daring Adventures has officially released dates and registrations (participant and volunteer) for our 2017 Mainstream Expedition trip. Mainstream Expedition is an 11-day adventure for adults with disabilities, both visible and invisible, and significant life challenges that effect a person's daily life. It is a white water rafting trip where participants experience the Colorado River while traveling 226 miles throughout the Grand Canyon. This is an exhilarating and eye-opening trip, which focuses on breaking down barriers, improving confidence and self-efficacy, acceptance, healthy risk taking, and the overall opportunity to enjoy the outdoors with all of the supports and accommodations needed. The trip is fully guided including medical staff and catered to each individual's needs. An amazing opportunity to enjoy one of the seven natural Wonders of the World. This trip is open to participants nationally, adults over 21-- and I'm hoping to spread the word both near and far.

Our 2017 trip is scheduled for July 31 - August 10, 2017. Applications are available now, and will close for participants on March 1, 2017, for volunteers on February 19th. The total cost of this trip is $2,150 with a $100 deposit due at time of application-- scholarship and payment plans are available. Thanks to grants and funding, we're able to offer this trip at a fraction of the retail cost.
