THE GREAT SPARKS We spoke to our SPARK Awards 2019 winners to gain some insights into what it takes to ingrain the core values that they have set forth in the workplace, and how they lead by example. NURUL ATIQAH BINTI RAMLI SPARK Winner – Lab Q: Share with us about your career journey in Etika and the most challenging time you had encountered. Project with a short timeline is the most challenging part in my career journey. I need to have very good time management skills in order to cope with my daily work, as well as in the SLAKE Programme, which I have just completed. Sometimes, I feel very exhausted and lose the work-life balance, but I feel satisfied to be able to gain lots of experience along the way. When the production line runs without any interruption and achieves its daily targets and outputs – these are what make me happy. Q: How would this award make you different from the rest? This award motivates me to work harder and contribute more to the company. Being a good communicator, it makes it easier for me to communicate with other people. These give me an edge over other people. Q: What is your comfort food? Satay and lontong (rice cake). Q: Tell us a place you have always dreamed of visiting. Iceland, Norway and Canada.
