What's The Buzz Issue 3 2017 | Page 6

Name: Bradley Hornung Number of years on the team: 3
Why did you join: I ended up joining Buzz Robotics my sophomore year to pursue my interest in Computers, and determine which field in Computer Science I wished to pursue. In fact, my great friend, and fellow team member Paige Dowding is the one who introduced me to the team.
Favorite part of Buzz: My favorite part of Buzz Robotics is how Buzz empowers us students to use what we learn in the classroom to create physical machinery to accomplish goals, and my mentors motivating me to take on more difficult challenges.
Most memorable moment in your time on Buzz: My most memorable time on the team is when I began working with Mr. Allen, and he began teaching me computer data storage, arrays, and other methods for organized computer data storage, allowing me to begin development in Scouting software.
Future plans: My future plans are to get my bachelors in Software Engineering, and work for ten years as a software engineer, and mentor on a robotics team, after this, retire, and become a high school software engineering teacher, while continuing to mentor on a Robotics team.
