H
ow to make this idea come
true? I posted my idea at the
bulletin board and found some combatants immediately. We constructed
a
homepage
at
http://
www.michael-jackson-memorialmunich.com/ , and have been setting up a petition in order to collect
signatures. We wanted to convince
the mayor of Munich, and therefore
we needed people to strengthen our
backs. The memorial was meant to
be sponsored by donations from the
fans. Munich would only have to
provide the property in order to build
it. The monument would then be a
gift from the city, so to speak.
I
n order to exchange my ideas
with the fairies, I travelled to Munich in November 2009, for the first
time. I remember, how nervous I’ve
been when I saw the monument
from a distance. My heart raced up
to my neck. I had fresh flowers for
Michael, a lantern and a small angel. I was so overwhelmed by this
place. It was even more beautiful
than on the pictures and so full of
love. All these wonderful letters,
flowers, pictures, angels…and all
that was because of Michael. It was
in November, it was – 20° C cold,
but I didn’t feel the cold, I also did
not feel time…all I felt was unending
LOVE and gratefulness. This feeling
can be hardly put into words.
W
hat the fairies achieved there
was insane. They can be so proud
of themselves for what they have
been creating there. This place has
only been created through the love
of the fans, what makes it so special
in my eyes. It’s sheer magic. Especially in the evening, when all those
wonderful candles illuminate the
memorial. Meanwhile, it pulls me to
Munich almost every 3 months, in
order to be able to be close to Michael and the goodbye never passes without tears.
A
moving event was LaToya’s
memorial visit in November 2009.
She was staying at the hotel
“Bayrischer Hof” at that time and
visited the city due to the recording
of “People 2009”. She was talking to
some of the fans, who’ve been at
the memorial by chance, and she
told them that she did not know
about this wonderful place. She was
completely overwhelmed and very
moved by so much love for her
brother. I went to Munich for the 2nd
time in March 2010. A fan meeting
had been planned via a bulletin
board. It was beautiful. You got to
know a lot of incredibly kind people,
who have all been there for one reason: Michael.
