I
t’s that time of year again! Dagwood dogs, roller coasters,
show bags and horses all come together for the show
season and this year across the Tablelands there is fun and
festivities for all.
The Dairy Farmers Malanda Show on 6-8 July has established
a firm reputation for being family-friendly, affordable and full
of thoroughly enjoyable and diverse entertainment – this
year will be no exception. Show goers can expect a plethora
of new events and activities.
Walter Whip and The Flame, the Australian Living History
Historical Display and a not-to-be-missed performance by
Koah duo Dream State Circus are all new additions to this
year’s event program. Also on the program is a new goat
display by Malanda State High School, a Farmer’s Challenge,
Luke’s Reptile Kingdom and the portable Lucas Mill will be
demonstrated and so much more!
If you’re not too sick from fairy floss and snow cones, head
to Atherton for their action-packed event on 9-10 July. The
Atherton Show always attracts the best competitors whether
it's for the horse events, show jumping, cattle show, cake
competition or entries for the best vegetables.
This year will see the introduction of a new headline act –
Showtime FMX. Thanks to Atherton Tableland Agricultural
