DID YOU KNOW ? There are two types of UAS Cadet : RAF Sponsored Undergraduates , who receive financial support and are committed to joining the RAF , and RAF Volunteer Reserves ( RAFVRs ). RAFVRs don ’ t have to join the RAF , but only a certain number can join a UAS each year . You ’ ll have to prove that you ’ ve got the determination and enthusiasm to join the club .
‘ The biggest challenge is balancing your uni work with the UAS . There ’ s so much you can do here and everything looks so good , it ’ s really hard to say no !’
Philippa Bann , RAFVR , Northumbria UAS
