How the aboriginal women inspired the greatest fashion designers
If fashion experts were asked about the latest trends, they would probably agree on one thing, which is, that the so-called tribal style has become quite popular recently. The original Native American arts and clothes, which are the main inspiration for the common designers, are known for being “complex, combining crafting skills with traditional designs that are derived from nature and often have spiritual meaning”.
The biggest fashion designers have recognized the potentials in the tribal patterns and designed complete collections dedicated to the Native American concept. Among the initiating fashion houses of the new era vibe belong Balmain, Alexander McQueen, and Anna Sui. And as it usually goes, big high fashion names are followed by mass production and affordable clothing brands a few years later. This is how the tribal patterns and colorful zigzags got from the runways right into our local shops. The most important features of the style are the triangular shapes, natural materials and additional feathers and colored beads.
