failed to keep him calm and collected while,

wondering how could life be so cruel to

deprive the child of walking the isle

with the man she loved and would say I do

Slaughtered

by Raiden Fortun

I see flying whales

and pirates in outer space.

One of my closest friends is a dragon.

I see an astronaut riding a unicorn

and a mouse as tall as a building.

There is a kingdom in my father’s top hat.

I see a world of swirling color

and a snowman made out of ice-cream.

A purple elephant gives me a kiss.

I am not sipping from a bottle

or sipping on a bud.

I am just a child

whose imagination has not yet been

Slaughtered.
