December 2003: 15% of club owned

October 2004: 28% of club owned

May: 2005: 57% of club owned

May 2005: 75% of club owned

June 2005: 98% of club owned

By May 2005, Malcom Glazer was over the 30% of shares needed to launch a financial takeover. By June 2005, the additional 2% were forced to pay out. At this point the club had costed $800 million.
