Despite having such a large debt that has restricted financial power since 2005, Sir Alex Ferguson claims that funds he asked for were given without hesitation. Sir Alex Ferguson also stated that he maintains a good relationship with Malcom Glazer. Adding to this, David Moyes (Manchester United's new manager) was given a transfer budget of £60 million. This is clearly a move that proves the Glazers loyalty and passion for the club.

Akthough the public opinion is against the Glazers, the years of their ownership has still been success riddled. The debt that United have been burdened with may not be ideal, but they have learnt to deal with it. With a range of good transfers, United have shown perseverance to stay as champions. However, despite their run of form, it is clear ownership does play a large role in success. It is an important attribute for the Premier League. In the future, if Manchester United's debt is not cleared, the team may suffer. They may slip further down the Premier League table.
