Their fanbase now spans the continents, reaching all corners of the globe. With high sales in the merchandise section, Chelsea truly have come one of the 'biggest' teams in the world. However, like many of the Manchester United fans, they have often been critisised as glory hunters. Is this the case?
Chelsea have an internation fanbase that spans the globe. With over 135 million fans worldwide, they get enough money generated from these people watching these matches. With 135 million people willing to put their money on the line to watch their games, Chelsea have an exciting future.
Chelsea have the 4th highest fanbase in the world. This suprises me because of the lack of trophies to their names. Whilst teams like Bayern Munich dominate world football today, Chelsea can boast more support. It seems like the trophies won each year does not affect the fans, it seems that trophies are not as important as many people put them out to be.
