I'll read the name of a group and I'd like you to rate your feelings to that group between 0 and 100 using something we call the feeling thermometer. Ratings between 50 degrees and 100 degrees mean that you feel favourable and warm toward the group. Ratings between 0 degrees and 50 degrees mean that you don't feel favourable and don't care too much for that group. You would rate the group at the 50 degree mark if you don't feel particularly warm or cold toward the group. Feel free to use the entire extent of the scale. - Hindu people Base: All respondents Gender Total Male (a) Female (b) Weighted base 1008 491 517 Standard deviation Standard error 24.31 0.77 23.72 1.04 24.77 1.12 Age 18-24 (d) 117* 25.62 2.78 25-34 (e) 35-44 (f) Class 45-54 (g) 55-64 (h) 65+ (i) AB (j) C1 (k) Region C2 (l) DE (m) 175 165 180 145 226 271 271 220 246 22.19 1.80 24.78 1.92 25.08 1.85 24.10 1.92 23.88 1.47 22.83 1.13 24.22 1.70 22.84 1.82 25.51 1.66 Scotland (n) 88* 24.90 2.58 Proportions/Means: Columns Tested (5%, 10% risk level) - a/b - c/d/e/f/g/h/i - j/k/l/m - n/o/p/q/r/s/t/u/v/w/x/y Overlap formulae used. * small base; ** very small base (under 30) ineligible for sig testing Prepared for Channel 4 and Juniper by ICM North East (o) 42* 25.56 3.99 North West (p) 116* 25.79 2.52 Yorkshire & Humberside (q) 86* 26.71 2.78 West Midlands (r) 91* 24.33 2.51 East Midlands (s) 75* 22.74 2.72 Wales (t) 51* 19.93 2.74 Eastern (u) 98* 24.48 2.46 London (v) South East (w) 133 141 24.17 2.07 24.10 2.08 South West (x) 89* 22.60 2.37
