Page 48 Survey of Muslims - Control Group CATI Fieldwork : 5th - 7th June 2015 Absolutes/col percents Table 35 QS1. I'd now like to get your feelings towards a number of different religious groups. I'll read the name of a group and I'd like you to rate your feelings to that group between 0 and 100 using something we call the feeling thermometer. Ratings between 50 degrees and 100 degrees mean that you feel favourable and warm toward the group. Ratings between 0 degrees and 50 degrees mean that you don't feel favourable and don't care too much for that group. You would rate the group at the 50 degree mark if you don't feel particularly warm or cold toward the group. Feel free to use the entire extent of the scale. - Hindu people Base: All respondents Gender Total Male (a) Age Female (b) 18-24 (d) 25-34 (e) 35-44 (f) Class 45-54 (g) 55-64 (h) 65+ (i) AB (j) Region C1 (k) C2 (l) DE (m) Scotland (n) North East (o) North West (p) Yorkshire & Humberside (q) West Midlands (r) East Midlands (s) Wales (t) Eastern (u) South East (w) London (v) South West (x) Unweighted base 1008 517 491 85 152 167 183 158 263 411 203 158 236 93 41 105 92 94 70 53 99 136 134 91 Weighted base 1008 491 517 117* 175 165 180 145 226 271 271 220 246 88* 42* 116* 86* 91* 75* 51* 98* 133 141 89* 18 21%T 13 14% 11 15% 91-100 166 16% 66 13% 100 19%A 81-90 43 4% 18 4% 25 5% 11 10%EhI 71-80 108 11% 57 12% 51 10% 10 9% 21 12% 14 8% 15 8% 61-70 79 8% 40 8% 39 8% 10 8% 16 9%i 11 7% 51-60 65 6% 41 8%B 23 5% 12 10%f 15 9%f 41-50 434 43% 206 42% 228 44% 40 34% 72 41% 31-40 25 3% 15 3% 10 2% 3 3% 3 2% 21-30 28 3% 14 3% 13 3% 3 2%f 11-20 14 1% 9 2% 5 1% 0-10 46 5% 24 5% NET: 51-100 461 46% NET: 50 - Neither / Nor NET: 0-49 Mean 28 16% 21 15% 31 14% 57 21%LM 52 19%Lm 8 4%i 5 3% 3 1% 20 8%LM 24 23 17%FGi 10% 15 9% 15 10%I 6 4% 11 6% 7 5% 75 45% 81 45% 54 37% 112 50%DH 7 4%g 2 1% 3 2% 7 3% 1 1% - 7 4%eF 6 4%eF 3 2% 1 * 2 1% 2 1% 3 2% 4 2% 22 4% 6 5% 3 2% 8 5% 11 6%e 6 4% 222 45% 239 46% 62 53%I 94 54%gI 73 44% 78 43% 72 50%I 431 43% 205 42% 226 44% 39 33% 72 41% 74 45% 81 45%d 54 37% 116 12% 64 13% 52 10% 9 5% 18 11%e 22 12%E 19 13%E 61.52 59.78 63.18A 19 16% 38 22%i 16 14%E 63.01i 3 2% 65.99G I 28 17% 14 8%EhI 62.44i 60.12 62.05i 24 11% 32 13% 18 21%T 11 4% 7 3% 5 2% 4 4% 31 11% 32 12% 22 10% 23 9% 12 13%u 2 4% 14 12% 10 5% 22 8% 21 8% 21 10% 14 6% 3 3% 1 2% 13 6% 19 7% 22 8% 12 6% 11 4% 3 4% 106 39% 106 39% 106 48%jk 116 47%j 41 47% 6 2% 2 1% 8 4%k 9 4%k 3 1% 7 3% 5 2% 12 5%J 1 * 8 3%J 2 1% 4 1% 12 5% 5 2% 8 3% 11 5%j 21 9%JK 81 36% 150 55%LM 139 51%LM 87 40% 112 50%DH 105 39% 106 39% 33 14%E 16 6% 26 10% 10 5%EF 57.41 67.40k LM 63.75L - 18 16%t 7 6%qt 1 1% 16 16%t 21 16%t - 4 4% 3 2% 8 11% 6 12% 5 5% 15 11% 17 13%NoR 7 2 8%oQtv 2% 3 5% 24 17%t 12 13% 11 8%oQtv 5 6%q 21 15%oU 6 7% 10 11% 9 10% 12 11%nr 5 6% 3 3% 8 11%nr 5 10%n 8 9% 8 7% 7 8% 6 7% 4 5% 4 7% 3 3% 9 7% 5 3% 18 44% 44 38% 32 37% 40 44% 34 45% 28 54%pq 49 51%pq 55 41% 59 42% 2 2% 2 4% 2 2% 2 2% 2 3% - - 4 4% 4 3% 3 2% 5 6%st 2 2% 1 2% * * 5 6%Pvw 4 4%p 3 4%p 3 6%P 2 2% 2 1% 2 1% 3 4% - - 1 1% 1 1% 4 4%nV 3 3%v - 2 2% - 3 2% 1 1% 3 4% 1 4% 8 7% 6 7% 3 3% 2 3% 3 5% 5 5% 8 6% 4 3% 3 3% 84 34% 40 45% 20 47% 60 52%tU 40 47% 38 42% 33 44% 18 35% 36 36% 65 49%u 70 50%tu 41 47% 106 114 48%Jk 46%j 41 47% 18 44% 44 38% 31 36% 40 44% 34 45% 28 49 54%pqx 51%pq 54 40% 59 42% 34 38% 7 8% 4 10% 12 10% 14 17%w 12 14% 8 11% 6 11% 14 11% 12 9% 13 15% 27 12%J 58.48 48 20%JKl 55.31 64.04T M Proportions/Means: Columns Tested (5%, 10% risk level) - a/b - c/d/e/f/g/h/i - j/k/l/m - n/o/p/q/r/s/t/u/v/w/x/y Overlap formulae used. * small base; ** very small base (under 30) ineligible for sig testing Prepared for Channel 4 and Juniper by ICM 13 30%prs TuvX 5 11%uw 64.89t 62.51 60.92 60.46 60.55 55.35 13 13% 58.91 61.53 9 7% 64.75T u 6 7% 12 13%NUW 35 39% 59.95
