I'll read the name of a group and I'd like you to rate your feelings to that group between 0 and 100 using something we call the feeling thermometer. Ratings between 50 degrees and 100 degrees mean that you feel favourable and warm toward the group. Ratings between 0 degrees and 50 degrees mean that you don't feel favourable and don't care too much for that group. You would rate the group at the 50 degree mark if you don't feel particularly warm or cold toward the group. Feel free to use the entire extent of the scale. - People who are not religious Base: All respondents Gender Total Male (a) Female (b) Age 18-24 (d) 117* 25-34 (e) 35-44 (f) Class 45-54 (g) 55-64 (h) 65+ (i) Weighted base 1008 491 517 175 165 180 145 226 Mean 69.09 68.81 69.35 69.38 72.31I 70.02i 70.01i 68.41 65.45 Standard deviation Standard error 24.02 0.76 23.86 1.05 24.19 1.09 25.31 2.74 22.48 1.82 25.10 1.94 23.41 1.73 22.80 1.81 24.70 1.52 AB (j) C1 (k) Region C2 (l) DE (m) Scotland (n) 91* 75* Wales (t) 51* Eastern (u) 98* London (v) South East (w) South West (x) 271 220 246 133 141 65.26 62.64 70.86 72.52 75.52q RsuVWX 69.40 66.91 69.04 71.13 68.52 64.44 68.25 67.00 22.71 1.59 23.40 1.86 25.81 1.68 26.38 2.74 25.22 3.94 24.06 2.35 24.12 2.51 22.13 2.28 21.13 2.53 20.30 2.79 23.44 2.36 26.85 2.30 24.35 2.10 21.51 2.25 M 86* East Midlands (s) 73.31L 22.30 1.10 116* West Midlands (r) 271 Proportions/Means: Columns Tested (5%, 10% risk level) - a/b - c/d/e/f/g/h/i - j/k/l/m - n/o/p/q/r/s/t/u/v/w/x/y Overlap formulae used. * small base; ** very small base (under 30) ineligible for sig testing Prepared for Channel 4 and Juniper by ICM 42* North West (p) 73.81L M 88* North East (o) Yorkshire & Humberside (q) 89*
