Page 24 Survey of Muslims - Control Group CATI Fieldwork : 5th - 7th June 2015 Absolutes/col percents Table 23 QS1. I'd now like to get your feelings towards a number of different religious groups. I'll read the name of a group and I'd like you to rate your feelings to that group between 0 and 100 using something we call the feeling thermometer. Ratings between 50 degrees and 100 degrees mean that you feel favourable and warm toward the group. Ratings between 0 degrees and 50 degrees mean that you don't feel favourable and don't care too much for that group. You would rate the group at the 50 degree mark if you don't feel particularly warm or cold toward the group. Feel free to use the entire extent of the scale. - Catholic people Base: All respondents Gender Total Male (a) Age Female (b) 18-24 (d) 25-34 (e) 35-44 (f) Class 45-54 (g) 55-64 (h) 65+ (i) AB (j) C1 (k) Region C2 (l) DE (m) Scotland (n) North East (o) North West (p) Yorkshire & Humb erside (q) West Midlands (r) East Midlands (s) Wales (t) Eastern (u) London (v) South East (w) South West (x) Unweighted base 1008 517 491 85 152 167 183 158 263 411 203 158 236 93 41 105 92 94 70 53 99 136 134 91 Weighted base 1008 491 517 117* 175 165 180 145 226 271 271 220 246 88* 42* 116* 86* 91* 75* 51* 98* 133 141 89* 23 27%r 14 16% 14 19% 12 23% 18 18% 26 20% 32 23% 15 16% 2 3% 6 7%t 3 4% - 4 4% 7 5% 9 7%t 3 4% 10 11% 9 10% 11 15% 9 17% 9 9% 11 9% 3 3% 6 6% 1 2% 4 7% 5 5% 91-100 228 23% 102 21% 126 24% 22 19% 39 22% 39 24% 38 21% 37 25% 52 23% 67 25% 63 23% 42 19% 56 23% 81-90 49 5% 22 4% 28 5% 3 3% 10 6% 10 6% 8 4% 7 5% 12 5% 21 8%lM 13 5% 8 4% 8 3% 5 6%t 71-80 121 12% 67 14% 54 10% 10 9% 22 13% 15 9% 19 11% 29 13% 33 12% 27 10% 32 14% 29 12% 10 11% 61-70 57 6% 23 5% 35 7% 14 12%EgI 7 4% 9 6% 9 5% 10 4% 15 5% 18 7% 12 5% 13 5% 2 2% 25 17%dF 8 6% 29 15 30 34%RsU 35%RsU 26% VwX vX 5 5 12%pQTx 4% 3 8% - 15 13% 9 7%o 26 18%uVx 16 5 12%NOQS 4% 8 9% 8 9%nos W 51-60 60 6% 41-50 387 38% 31-40 37 8%B 23 4% 9 7% 12 7% 12 7% 10 6% 4 3% 12 5% 13 5% 12 4% 19 8% 16 7% 2 2% 2 4% 11 9%ns 184 38% 202 39% 40 34% 68 39% 63 38% 71 40% 54 37% 91 40% 100 37% 108 40% 84 38% 95 38% 32 36% 15 35% 18 2% 9 2% 8 2% 1 1% 1 * 6 4%eh 5 3% 1 1% 4 2% 7 2%m 6 2% 4 2% 1 * 2 2% - 4 4%u 2 3% * * 1 2% 2 4%u 21-30 26 3% 16 3% 10 2% 4 3% 5 3% 2 1% 8 5%f 2 1% 5 2% 6 2% 9 3% 7 3% 4 1% 3 3% - 5 4% 5 6%w 4 5% 2 2% 11-20 16 2% 8 2% 8 2% 4 4%F 3 2% - 2 1% 4 2%f 3 1% 2 1% 3 1% 2 1% 9 4%Jkl 1 1% 1 4% 1 1% - 2 2% 0-10 46 5% 24 5% 23 4% 9 8%hi 8 5% 10 6%h 10 5% 3 2% 7 3% 9 3% 11 4% 11 5% 15 6%j 2 2% 1 3% 8 7%t 6 7%t NET: 51-100 515 51% 250 51% 266 51% 59 51% 90 52% 85 51% 84 47% 82 56% 116 51% 148 55% 134 49% 112 51% 122 50% 48 55% 25 58% 68 44 59%RsU 51% NET: 50 - Neither / Nor 378 37% 180 37% 198 38% 40 34% 65 37% 60 36% 70 39% 52 36% 91 40% 95 35% 108 40% 82 37% 94 38% 32 36% 13 30% 30 26% 30 26% 6 7% 4 4% 29 34% 115 11% 61 12% 54 10% 18 16%i 19 11% 21 13% 25 14%i 12 8% 20 9% 29 11% 29 11% 27 12% 30 12% 8 9% Proportions/Means: Columns Tested (5%, 10% risk level) - a/b - c/d/e/f/g/h/i - j/k/l/m - n/o/p/q/r/s/t/u/v/w/x/y Overlap formulae used. * small base; ** very small base (under 30) ineligible for sig testing Prepared for Channel 4 and Juniper by ICM 5 12% 18 15%T 28 32% 14 17%T 3 5% 7 7% 6 4% 8 5% 43 44%P 54 41%P 48 34% 34 38%p - 1 1% 2 1% 2 3% - 3 3% 2 1% 2 1% 1 1% - - 2 2% 1 1% 3 2% 4 5%pqs 2 2% 4 5% - 7 7%t 8 6%t 6 4% 3 3% 39 43% 32 43% 27 52% 42 43% 66 50% 80 57%rsu 44 50% 42 36 22 46%oPq 48%oPq 44%P w 42 42%P 54 41%P 47 33% 33 37% 10 11% 14 14%t 13 10% 14 10% 11 13% 43 36 22 48%Pqw 48%Pqw 44%P w NET: 0-49 1 2% 7 9% 2 4% 11 12%NrSv
