How I Met Your Mother // @ HIMYM _ Writers
This feed( with a Twitter avatar that’ s a still from The Dick Van Dyke Show) looks like it is taking a little break since the season eight finale, but they’ ll be back with more fun, informative Tweets soon so don’ t miss out. They often link to photos on their Tumblr of fascinating things like what they’ re eating for lunch( koji truck!), to pics of the writers sitting on each other’ s shoulders( awww), to writers dressed in crazy Hot Dog on a Stick outfits. It feels personal, and not someone Tweeting ads or making statements like“ Watch us tonight 10pm.” If you’ re a fan of the show, definitely check it out. It will make you feel like you’ re on the inside!
Psych // @ psychwrites
The bio for this one is dry and funny:“ The show is on Wednesdays at 10 on USA, but we’ re here all the time.” Writers tend to live at work during a season so they’ re probably totally serious. This USA comedy is about a police consultant who is so good at solving crimes the Santa Barbara Police Department is convinced he’ s actually psychic. The feed has almost 40,000 followers, which is pretty impressive for a writer’ s room. Whoever is Tweeting interacts with people, posts a lot of good info, and gives hints about upcoming episodes. They’ re also fond of retweeting Dr. Woody M. E.(@ WoodySBPD) who Tweets gems like“ I’ ve never met a spleen I didn’ t like. # organlove # psychseason7.”
Elementary // @ ELEMENTARYStaff
Since this is a fairly new show, they don’ t have tens of thousands of followers – yet. Right now there are about 6,000 fans following this feed, and it’ s a good mix of information and cheeky humor. They’ ll share pictures from the set and give some commentary during episodes that are airing. They also retweet star and“ professional pretender” Jonny Lee Miller often. They interact with fans, and Tweet hilarious, completely nonsensical things like,“ Fun fact: I have cod liver oil every morning, which disgusts my wife. I made Sherlock like it so I’ d have an ally.”

Seed & Spark Founder Emily Best was fundraising for a feature film when she had a moment to which most producers can relate. In an industry with over 15,000 independent films made each year, where only 1 % of US releases get picked up for traditional distribution and only a fraction of those actually make any money— where do we draw the line between independent and idiotic? Even after successfully green-lighting a film, getting a full house to watch it can be like extracting teeth if it doesn’ t feature zombies or Ryan Gosling. Best decided to put two problems together to create a solution for all filmmakers in the form of Seed & Spark, a new crowdfunding and digital distribution model that puts audiences centrestage in the filmmaking process, rallying supporters to engage beyond the usual credit card transaction.

Now, we know you’ ve have seen a lot of new“ digital revolution” platforms popping up lately, and after a while it can be hard to tell the difference between Indiegogo and Kickstarter, much less all the new kids on the block. Check out the intro video:
