Leakey story to be shot by Hollywood director by GRACE KERONGO source THE STAR

A Kenyan story about former Kenya Wildlife Service head, Richard Leakey will be shot by Hollywood producer Christine Forsyth Peters who is famed for producing How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days starring Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey.
Christine has secured the movie rights to Richard Leakey’ s memoir Wildlife Wars: My Fight to Save Africa’ s Natural Treasures. The book focuses on Leakey and his work to keep the natural resources of Kenya-- particularly the African elephant--safe from poaching.
In 1989, Leakey was appointed as the head of Kenya’ s Wildlife Department and eventually reorganised it into the Kenyan Wildlife Service, in which he armed park rangers with semi-automatic weapons to defend park wildlife. More like a political thriller than a wildlife adventure story, the book gives perspective on corruption within African politics, detailing just a fraction of the obstacles anyone must face to aid any cause in Africa, whether it involves animals or humans.
It is yet to be announced which Hollywood actor will play Richard Leakey.
