The following day we bussed through to Shamwari Private Game Reserve. On the game drive the girls received a history lesson from our game ranger and Miss Bassett whilst observing numerous animals at close range. At the Born Free Centre our girls were further educated on various animals in captivity, rhino poaching and the rare white lions of Africa.
The All Girls’ Festival started the next day. Our teams competed well against tough opposition with
our U13A water-polo team remaining unbeaten. Many friendships were made and loads of fun was had by all. A weary group of girls arrived back in Cape Town richer for this awesome experience.
