Cake Bomb Experience

Trading Day

Trading Day was the most exciting day for the Grade 7s this year! It was a day when they could show off their talents and budding entrepreneurial skills, all the while making a little bit of extra money. The hall was buzzing with excitement and anticipation as we awaited the arrival of the rest of the school. After a quick set up, the day was in full swing. You could hear the prices being shouted out loudly, and bargains being made when the consumers looked hesitant to make the purchase. Overall we had a busy but stimulating day.

Cake Bomb Experience

The well-being of the less fortunate and the ill has always been a subject very close to our hearts. Strong, healthy communities are the building blocks of great societies and even greater nations. For us, it was a honour to visit Victoria Hospital( among many other places) and to personally interact with the patients on so many levels. It was especially endearing to spread our special brand of love at the Child Care unit with our home-baked cupcakes. To see the hospital corridors light up with a smile of a happy child is a feeling that cannot be translated into a monetary value.
It truly instills into one’ s sense of understanding and appreciation for all the bounties we have growing up with excellent health. We also came to appreciate all the nurses, doctors, cleaning staff and security who provide services at Victoria Hospital. We were absolutely thrilled to give back to our communities and various organisations in an effort to thank them for their tireless efforts, helping those in need.
All this being done on Mandela Day! We went out in groups with many tasty treats. The most gratifying thing about doing this was the response of so many organisations that thanked us from their hearts. They said that the‘ sweeties’ actually sweetened up their entire beings and made their purpose in life have even more meaning.
