Charity
This year, our charity focus has been on cultivating an
attitude of gratitude at WGJS. Research shows that the
positive effects of gratitude last longer than you think.
In fact, people who practice gratitude are happier, more
proactive and more resilient. These are some of the
values that we want to instil in every Wynberg Girl.
SPCA
The year started with a woof! We, at WGJS, filled up
many money tins for our furry friends at the Cape of
Good Hope SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty
to Animals). Due to the generous Wynberg family, we
managed to collect over R4 700 as well as more than
700 items of food, toys and accessories. A massive
thank you must go out to everyone who contributed. The
birds have been tweeting, the cats purring and the dogs
jumping with joy!
Pyjama Drive for St George’s Home for Girls
At the start of the second term, we were very excited to
support St. George’s Home for Girls. St George’s Home
