Inter -
While our focus is not always on winning and we
encourage participation and growth in sports, we
review our year of inter-schools results with enormous
pride. These sports are the benchmarks against which
we measure the strength of our school compared to our
close competitors – the likes of Herschel, Springfield,
Micklefield, St Cyprians and Rustenburg to name a few.
Inter-schools takes place in an amicable but extremely
competitive atmosphere and our girls learn so much
from their inter-schools experiences.
We are so thrilled with our results this year! While
there was no formal inter-schools swimming gala, we
fared much better than in many previous years with
cross country, where our girls ran competitively and
with determination and drive, and we finished in 6th
place overall. Interschools U13A and B hockey were
opportunities to display our passing brand of hockey
as well as our big heart and our U13A hockey girls
played themselves into second place, making history!
If this was not enough cause to celebrate, our U13A
netball girls pulled out all the stops and made history
by winning the inter-schools Netball Tournament amidst
great excitement and joy!
We were complimented on our amazing team spirit
in all of our Inter-schools and these exciting results
show how much our major sports have improved in
momentum over the last few years, bringing promise
and hope of good results and spirit in the future!
Congratulations to all our girls who participated in the
inter-schools events!!
