Gra
High Tea
The High Tea was a fantastic success this year. It was
held on the 17 March and despite the heat, it was enjoyed
by all. The theme was Japanese and everywhere you
looked there were touches of pink, green and white.
You could almost smell the cherry blossoms.
Here are some of the Grade 6 girls’ thoughts
on the High Tea:
The High Tea was one of this year’s highlights! It was a
time for moms, daughters and friends to bond. When it
came to preparing for the High Tea it was a lot of work,
but luckily it paid off. It was great to see our friends and
teachers embracing the Japanese culture.

My High Tea was completely mind-blowing. At first we
didn’t understand the Japanese theme, but the more
we decorated and researched, the more we understood
the importance of “tea and the tea ceremony” in this
culture. There was a lot of preparation that went into
the day, the Grade 6’s were busy non-stop leading up
to the event. On the day, the decor was breathtaking
and our theme came alive! I never thought it would look
so perfect!

Grade 6 camp was an amazing experience,
and one I will never forget. We bonded over
sleepless nights, yummy food and camp
activities. There were so many different
things to do from kayaking to rock climbing –
we went from one adventure to the next. On
one of the nights we played hide and go
seek with our teachers, needless to say, we
found them up the trees! We went to two
different venues at Wortelgat, Stables and
Gecko Bush camp. Each one had its own
highlights. We made some awesome friends
with the spiders, played in the mud and had
fantastic camp leaders. The 48 hours of no
sleep, led to a very quiet bus trip home!
