On 19 March the Grade 4’s went
… no, not literally … but we were close enough to
touching them. For our Term 1 outing, we rode the
cable car all the way to the top of the mountain. The air
was crisp and it got chilly.
It was so exciting being able to learn about Table
Mountain outside of the classroom. I loved being able
to engage in nature and not just stuck behind a desk.
History and natural science both mean so much to me
now that I got to experience this outing outdoors.
I found the experience scary. I don’t like heights and I felt
like I was going to fall off the mountain. I even get scared
when I go too high on a swing so you can imagine what
I thought on the cable car but with a little help from
Yeti I managed to CONQUER MY FEARS.
