5 Asturias: We organized five meetings at different official tourist
schools with the proposal to show how important is our job for the
tourism industry. And seven free and solidarity guided tours to some
of the most important tourist destinations of Asturias. At the end,
volunteers of the Spanish Association against Cancer collected soli-
darity donations.
6 Zamora: This year the
Zamora´s Tourist Guides
Association has celebrated
the International Day of
the Tourist Guide offering a
philanthropic visit to the
historical city center of
Zamora. The collection has
been given to AZA, Zamo-
ra´s Alzheimer Association.
7 Ávila: In Avila we did free tours to the Cathedral. The fees entirely
for “Charitas”, a charitable institution.
8 Granada: Visits of the Alhambra and the Generalife; lectures pre-
pared by guides for the rest of the colleagues; learning with the Al-
hambra experts about restoration; and an important recognition provided to one of Granada's important historian.
9 Tenerife: Tenerife’s Asociation of TGoffered tribute to Dr. Wolfredo Wildpret de la Torre, reknown biology
profesor, related to profesional training for guides. At the event asisted important authorities.
10 Segovia: Working trainig sesión at Riofrio Palace and free tours in soladirity with FRATER, that takes care of peo-
ple with chonic diseases and physical disabilities.
11 Murcia: We our day with 2 special guided tours to the Salzillo Museum in Murcia city. The importance of hiring a
licensed guide was highlighted by our members at the beginnig of each tour.
12 Girona: We organized free guided tours for local people, two in the
Old City of Girona and two in Begur and Sant Feliu de Guíxols, both pla-
ces in the Costa Brava. We also organized lunch and wine tasting in one
of the Cellars of the region for the guides.
